Whether they are doing an indie or just having fun, it is indeed an item to see two actors together in a resort. In the meantime indulge in some fast or wild imaginings with these hunky photos.
Negativity is out. Instead of saying ‘body to die for’ , I opted to slant on the opposite. This is for the simple reason that life is a celebration and the best way do it is with a healthy mortal shell. EDWARD MENDEZ is on his supreme prime condition. His body is truly a work of art and has taken a lot of breathes away when he loaned his presence in several photoplays. He is also a Sports Science & Nutrition Expert, author of fitness book called “Your Dream Body Come True,” that offers consultations and specialized diet plans / exercises as guide in achieving a lean and toned physique. Lately he has been chummy with beauty guru Vicky Belo but has not totally confirmed the level of their relationships. Eat your hearts out lesser cougars!
In a spur of a moment, one can easily cozy up with a stranger especially if his eyes mesmerizingly sparkle with each glance and his aura envelops the air around you. Such is an experience with JUNJUN QUINTANA. At twenty-five, he has the world on the palm of his hand as he is considered to be one of the most important Johnny-come-lately in the indie block these days. “I am immensely fascinated with the film industry in general … the magic , the intricate process that goes with it , everything!” , he winks to embed his enthusiasm towards the calling he feels very much a part of now . Although he admits that he has a day job in a family-owned business , “After appearing in Direk Adolf (Alix) film HAROU, my priorities somehow switched toward pursuing an acting career and I am blessed to have received interesting roles to tackle.” Interesting is a tame word to describe his film outings since some of them made him bare some skin and indulge in spicy scenes. No qualms so far with way things are going in his career , he positively takes in a perspective wherein the essentials are what matters most. When asked if he was ever uncomfortable shedding clothes in screen, he simply smiled and said that such is all in a day’s work in the life of an actor who aspires to be acknowledged as the best in his breed. On the lighter side, Quintana takes to music for fun and as a matter of fact is heavy on establishing a still to be named rock band.
JUNJUN is ecstatic about his playing lead on Benjamin Garcia’s “PHILIPPINO STORY” for this year’s CinemaOne Originals Film Festival. The film’s story is a fresh take on the flesh trade and the aberrant path one has to trod to parry the odds and survive its unsavory effects on one’s life. He stresses that he took in the role in an uninhibited manner to tackle the nuance it required effortlessly.

Awkwardly tall and spindly irresistible, ALEX MEDINA stands now on his own ground. He has effortlessly loosened himself out of the prodigious shell his father Pen Medina has spawned in local flickerville and almost everything smells sweet along the path he is taking in his career. It may not have been easy, but then if you were molded in a family environment where art is as basic as food, the going gets better and everything settles into place. Alex did come at the perfect moment when the industry direly needed not just a star but the essential actor that he is. ‘I relate to every role that is assigned to me; I become the character , live a specific life while coordinating with my directors and writers for some personal inputs,’ was his reply when asked on how he goes about with his craft. Perhaps with such an intriguing and dramatically handsome face Alex is good to go once he has memorized his lines but that isn’t the case with him. With the precision of a surgeon or a spider webbing its prey, he meticulously coagulates into the film persona and becomes oblivious with his real person. ‘I am not to refuse offers coming my way, if they [writers/directors/producers] feel me in a way that I am perfect for their project, then who am I to refuse!’ he exhales as he flexes his thought into role possibilities. Choosy he is not and so far he finds his body of work wanting for more challenging roles to distinctly develop innate talents. Alex in person may look distant and detached but once he warms up, he can easily burst at the slightest joke he overhears. He is not in any way a hoarder of sorts, which makes him even more interesting since this can only mean that he threshes out emotions and anticipates everything fresh and new. Also into music, he chills out with his band and treasures the sound of nature as his inspiration.
In this year’s CinemaOne Originals Film Festival, Alex essays a rather disturbing image , that of an irreverent friar banished to the then hinterlands of 15th century Bicol (particularly the Rinconada area) in Kristian Sendon Cordero’s ‘ANGUSTIA’. Although he is elated to be tapped for this epical project, the actor does not anticipate an award and merely says that if he does get lucky for a second win in a row (he was last year’s CinemaOne Originals Best Actor for Ato Bautista’s ‘PALITAN’) then so be it!

Enrique Gil epitomizes the new mestizo look. His fairness is well kept with his disarming charm especially when he slices the air with his million-worth smile. The Cebuano gentleness in him further leave an engaging calmness that whenever he is on screen there is this ticklish sensation that makes you giggle a bit. He truly is the hot guy on the block and when he taught us all how to doughie, there wasn’t turning back ENRIQUE GIL effortlessly slew the boredom of the local showbiz beat! He has already made a name for himself in several photoplays and lately rumors have it that it was he who the crowd lined up for and not a Dingdong Dantes or a Bea Alonzo in StarCinema’s SHE’S THE ONE. He is the gold that everybody wants to mine now but definitely the credits go to ABS-CBN network that nurtured him right for the game. He is soon to star in his own big dome affair which will further showcase his stupefying dance moves among other exciting treats!

No doubt, her fans are cheering deep inside because at her ripe age of past half twenties, she deserves a lovelife! Figuring in several heartbreaks, Sarah is now quite mature enough to weigh her emotions and dwell only on what her feelings feed her. Definitely such is love. You do not put into consideration the rest of the world (especially your meddling immediate ones) but only the thrill of having your heart beat four times faster the usual and synchronized perfectly with the apple of your eye! Her camp is mum about making a fuzz about an admittance but when I saw Sarah recently , her glow exuded MOLTO BELLA! They really don’t have to publicly announce their romance for whatever reason because keeping it under the blanket makes it a bit deliciously edgy and also adds to some subtle excitement that they can both share as the real people that they are away from the meddling crowd!
